I am extremely privileged to lead the pioneer organization, Central Tasar Research and Training Institute (CTRTI) of Central Silk Board (CSB) as its Director, which is the only institute in the world dedicated to the Research & Developmental activities in tasar sector. CTRTI, Ranchi was established in 1964 under the aegis of Central Silk Board to provide Research & development support to tropical and temperate tasar, a tribal based rural microenterprise in the country. With its network of 6 Regional Sericulture Research Stations (RSRS), 3 Research Extension Centres (REC), one P4 Breeding Station and one Raw Material Bank, CTRTI provides the state-of-the-art technological know-how to the stakeholders in the command states.
